The sheep move about every day this time of year to a new 1/8th of an acre. This way they always have fresh grass and can evenly distribute manure to radically improve the soil/pasture before their next visit 60+ days later.
On a small 10 acre mini farm, we use a mini tractor to make small round hay bales with our own quality grass so we know exactly what the sheep are eating.
That is a very large Sheep Dog Paw. Perfect for intimidating coyotes and even bears!
These livestock guardian dogs are a combination of Great Pyrenees, Maremma, and Akbash. Friendly to owners and family but fierce defenders of their sheep to any and all threats. They generally work all night warning any predators to back off or face the consequences when they are not in cute mode.
Our small farm has big dreams! Here is the initial vineyard prep which in a couple of years and in full production will produce about 500 lbs of grapes every year!
